The Final of the Wraysbury Village Trust Winter Cup this year was
played in glorious spring sunshine (on April 3) ... and the victorious pair were
Trevor Woodham & Colin Hood with a sweeping 32-9 win against
Martyn Hammond & Martin Wilson.
The Marts played some decent bowls but were thwarted by the consistency of Woody & Hoody and, after nine ends at halfway, were 5-19 down, having shipped a six and five during that spell.
They continued to battle away though, including a brilliant four, but Trevor & Colin continued to edge the ends and maintain their advantage to take the honours.
