Awards at the double.

THERE were a few double successes at this year’s championship awards dinner – led by Val Lambert who picked up the Ladies League and the Knockout trophies. Read the rest of the report here...

Runner-up in the Ladies Knockout competition was Margaret Perkins.

Vera Davies took the Runner-up spot in the Ladies Singles League - a reverse of last year.

Trevor Woodham won the Men’s Singles League.

Andy Doughton was Runner-up in the Men’s Singles League.

Trevor Woodham also was a winner in the Pairs Knockout trophy, along with partner Janet Cross.

Runners-up in the Pairs championship were Tony Britton & Howard Brooks.

The Men's knockout championship was won by Derek Spence.

The Men's knockout championship Runner-up was Howard Brooks.

The Pairs League champions were Sarah Jane Cole & Mike McLachlan.

Pairs League Runners-up prize was taken by Margaret Perkins & Tony Britton.

Tony Britton got a winner's gong when collecting the Memorial Day Trophy along with Janet Cross, which also gained her a second pairs win trophy.

The Runner-up on Memorial Day was Vera Davies.

The 2018/19 Wraysbury Village Trust Winter Cup was won by Gregg Scott & Tony Britton.

Winter Cup runners-up spot was taken by Trevor Dobson & Mike McLachlan.

The President's Cup this year was awarded to Fred Parsons. In presenting the 'Claret Jug', club captain Alan Dell said that this is in recognition of Fred's services, not only as Secretary, but for his endeavours in promoting the club and managing our website.

Avril Pearce accepting an orchid from Glyn Larcombe to mark her fundraising activities for the club with the Whist Drives.
