Wraysbury Bowls Club

2017 Presentation Dinner

Taking centre stage this year was Family Lambert who swept up an armful of trophies for themselves at the annual awards dinner.

It was Colin Lambert who was presented with the President's Cup - known affectionately as the Claret Jug - and is given for outstanding services to the club, especially during the year.

On the playing side, Colin also claimed his first trophy at the club after winning the Memorial Pairs Trophy which he secured with partner Doris Thompson.

Val Lambert also had a very good year – having won the Ladies Singles knockout trophy, she was runner-up in both the Ladies League (a title she won last year) and the Winter Cup pairs competition, with partner Gregg Scott.

IT was a brilliant season for Mike McLachlan who visited the podium four times - collecting the trophy for securing the Men's League title (runner-up Andy Doughton) ; also the Pairs Knockout - won with partner Dave Harrel - and took the runners-up prize in both the Men's Singles and the

League Pairs (with Julia Cream).
